Located at the intersection of US 79 and SH 130, Hutto is approximately 5 miles east of Round Rock, 15 miles south of the county seat of Georgetown, and 20 miles from downtown Austin, making it an attractive place to live. Must be TCOLE certified or currently be attending an accredited academy to begin the application process.
The city of Hutto benefits include, a fully equipped take home patrol vehicle, 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off when assigned to patrol, 12 Paid Holidays, Tuition Reimbursement, Medical and Dental Insurance, Deferred Compensation Program, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, TMRS 7% 2 to 1 match retirement, 80 hours vacation.
Minimum starting hourly rate is $21.62 per hour or $44,977.01 based on a 2080 hour work year.
Maximum starting hourly rate is $23.29 per hour or $48.435.32 based on a 2080 hour work year.
First year salary includes a $2,500.00 net sign on bonus.
