The annual pay range for an entry level Police Officer with the Town of Estes Park is $47,061.00 – $56,473.00. Years of prior law enforcement experience is recognized. Job Requirements:

Age – 21

Education – High School or GED

Experience – Academy Only

 

Additional Requirement:

This position requires strong character and the ability to perform the duties of patrol officer including; upholding state, municipal and constitutional law, arrest control, driving skills, firearm accuracy, strong interpersonal skills, shift work, working some holidays and a demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications. Four years of college is preferred but not required. You must be willing to live within a 20 minute non-emergent response time to the PD which includes Estes Park, Drake, Glen Haven, Pinewood Springs and Allenspark. A ride-along prior to testing is strongly recommended.

The department is seeking qualified applicants who are Colorado POST certified or out of state officers certifiable by challenging the POST test. Academy students are encouraged to apply. For the successful candidate we will arrange a thorough background investigation, integrity interview/polygraph, a physical exam and a psychological exam.
