Description: The Menard County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Deputy. The Deputy will be required to patrol the county to provide law and order, investigate a wide variety of complaints/crimes, enforce traffic laws and investigate misdemeanor/felony offenses. This position will require shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Benefits: Take home patrol unit residing within Menard County. The unit has the following equipment: Portable Laptop, Copsync MDT program, digital in- car cameras, patrol shotgun and rifle, Deputy certified with Taser is assigned an X-26 Taser and other necessary equipment to perform law enforcement duties. The County does provide health/dental benefits and participates in TCDRS.
Position will be open until filled.
Salary Information: approximately $35,963.00 a year.
Requirements: 21 years of age or older, high-school diploma or GED, TCLOSE Certification, valid driver license, must reside in Menard County once hired, must pass background investigation. New or experienced officers are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:
Age – 21 Years of age or older
Education – High-School diploma/GED w/ TCLOSE/TCOLE Certification
Experience – Basic Peace Officer and higher
Salary/Benefits: $35,963 annual
