This 4-hour class is highly intense. It brings you into the world of the (DHH) Deaf & hard of hearing population so very needed in today’s climate, especially with what is happening at agencies & government throughout the country. Increase your knowledge and understanding of the unique needs of those with hearing loss. Leverage liability w/compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Unlike popular belief and misunderstanding, American Sign Language (ASL) is NOT taught. If you wish to take a class on emergency ASL, please call our Los Angeles office at 661 347-0911. You will, however, learn the ASL alphabet. It will be extremely helpful in the performance of your duties as well as in your personal life. You will be able to communicate with members of the Deaf community who use ASL as their main language. Bear in mind that ASL is NOT english, nor is english ASL. This class is available nationwide AND GLOBALLY where English and Spanish are spoken.
