JOB SUMMARY:
This position will provide efficient and effective communication linkages between the public, departmental and other law enforcement personnel. Must possess the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. The ability to quickly comprehend and communicate information received by telephone or radio communication. Ability to remain calm and functions effectively when dealing with upset, confused, hostile or frustrated individuals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess at least one (1) year of experience answering and directing non-emergency, 911, Fire and Police calls. A high school diploma or GED is required and TCO certification must be current. Ability to effectively communicate and remain calm under stressful situations, while performing multiple tasks. Excellent data entry skills with the ability to type at least 40 wpm with a high degree of accuracy. Applicants must pass an extensive background investigation, polygraph exam, psychological exam and a pre-employment medical examination.
Starting salary will depend upon certifications:
$17.73/hr Basic Certification
$19.50/hr Intermediate Certification
$21.45/hr Advanced Certification
