JOB SUMMARY:
To provide for the care, custody and control of persons arrested within the jurisdiction of the Rosenberg Police Department. Transfers and transports prisoners as needed, including to county jails, or from other area jails. Takes prisoner before the judge as required. Maintains jail record system and other logs; inventories and maintains the prisoner’s property.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent is required. Must have a valid Texas operator’s license; obtain a Basic Jailer Certification within the time frame specified by the Rosenberg Police Department. Shift work is required for this position.
NOTE: Applicants must pass an extensive background investigation, polygraph exam, psychological exam, drug test and a pre-employment medical examination.
