Criminal Investigative Analysis

Description:

Criminal Investigative Analysis (Criminal Profiling) 4.5-Day (36-hours)

For law enforcement professionals worldwide who wish to attain the professional title of “Certified Crime and Intelligence Analyst” (CCIA) and receive their government-issued credentials through the Certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analysis program sponsored by the California Department of Justice in cooperation with the California State University and University of California Systems, this class satisfies the Crime Analysis course requirement. Information about this Certification program can be obtained by clicking on this link (http://www.alphagroupcenter.com/certification/) or by contacting us at: crimecrush@alphagroupcenter.com.

Description:
This course teaches students how to determine the physical, psychological, behavioral, and emotional characteristics of serial rape and serial homicide suspects, how to distinguish the differences between “organized” and “disorganized” criminals, how to identify the all-important “signatures” of violent offenders and how to identify from crime scenes the “clues” left behind by the offender. Through lecture, demonstration, and audio/video media, all participants will be given the opportunity to analyze cases involving actual serial killers and rapists and to then develop and practice their profiling skills by creating their own in-class profiles. Please note: Police officers and investigators need to know how a crime was committed in order to know the type of offender who committed the act. This class contains graphic depictions of serial rape and homicide crime scenes to provide them with this critical knowledge.
