Crime Analysis

Description:

Crime Analysis Applications 4.5-Day (36-hours)

For law enforcement professionals worldwide who wish to attain the professional title of “Certified Crime and Intelligence Analyst” (CCIA) and receive their government-issued credentials through the Certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analysis program sponsored by the California Department of Justice in cooperation with the California State University and University of California Systems, this class satisfies the Crime Analysis course requirement. Information about this Certification program can be obtained by clicking on this link (http://www.alphagroupcenter.com/certification/) or by contacting us at: crimecrush@alphagroupcenter.com.

Description:
Presented both live and online, this is a “hands on” course that covers the tactical, strategic, and administrative uses of crime analysis in the law enforcement environment. Through lecture, demonstration, audio/video presentations and in-class exercises, students learn how to design, develop, implement and operate a dynamic criminal analysis program and how to use a wide variety of analytical techniques to forecast the day, date, time and location criminals are likely to strike again. These techniques have proven to significantly bolster an agency’s crime suppression and criminal apprehension efforts. Further, the course has been structured so that students can return to work and immediately apply what they have learned to the real-world crime problems their agencies face on a daily basis. As a result, students have a heightened ability to increase not only the “crook catching” efforts of the officers and investigators who deal with crimes against persons and property, but to enhance the critical decision-making processes of the police managers, supervisors, and administrators who are responsible for the overall delivery of police services. In short, students learn WHAT they should do to accomplish these goals and, more importantly HOW they should do it. The Alpha Group also presents this program in an 8-week, online format.
